Week 7: UN Committees and Case Study Choices
Objectives:
By the end of this assignment you should be able to:- List all the different UN committees and their area of focus
- Name five different issues that affect the global community
- Decide on one issue that you would like to complete a case study on determine what UN committee you would be a part of to oversee that issue.
Assignment for this Week (Due March 10):
There is one part
1. Complete Worksheet
Follow the instructions below.
1. You will complete a worksheet in which you will list the issue that you have chosen to study and the UN Committee that oversees that issue.
- Print the Worksheet
- Use the Briefing Papers Link to select a topic that you will study
- Use this sheet to decide which UN committee you will be on
-Committee and Topic Background Information : contains information about the different UN agencies.
Print the worksheet out and submit it in the ISP folder in your classroom by Wednesday, March 10.
Grading
-The Worksheet assignment is credit/no credit
