Cowan Avenue Elementary School serves students in grades K-5. Cowan is the home school for students in its surrounding area in Westchester as well as those from the nearby community of Windsor Hills. Our administration, staff, teachers, parents and entire school community are dedicated to providing quality education on behalf of every Cowan student.

Cowan is part of the Loyola Marymount University (LMU) Family of Schools and last year voted to join LAUSD’s new iDesign Schools Division. As part of this reform initiative, the Cowan community is now engaged in a yearlong process of partnering with LMU and iDesign Schools in transitioning to local, decentralized decision-making and governance.  For more information on this you can click IDesign in the menu bar.
