Consequences

1^st time …....Reminder to student.

2^nd time ……Reminder.  Notify parent in writing.

3^rd + time ….. Notify parent in writing, school service.

4^th time…….Conference with parent, teacher, administrator to create

a behavioral plan.

LEVEL 2

Behavior*

• Hitting/Hard pushing
• Kicking
• Fighting or play-fighting
• Offensive or disrespectful language or behavior (name-calling, obscene language or signs, threats)
• Defiance of authority
• Lying
• Cheating/Forgery
• Stealing
• Rock Throwing
• Inappropriate physical displays/harassment
• Severe and/or repeated classroom disruptions.

Consequences (per year)

1^st time ….. Reminder to student.  Possible Principal’s citation.

Notify parents.  Peer mediation, if available.

2^nd time ….. Immediate phone call to parent.  Principal’s citation.

Write “What I did” essay in Think Area.  Peer mediation,

if available.  Parent to meet with teacher and/or principal.

3^rd time ….. Immediate phone call to parent.  Principal’s citation.

Parent to meet with teacher and principal.  Conflict resolution

training for student.  Responsibility assignment for student

(i.e., helping in library, kindergarten yard, etc. during recess for

4 weeks).  Possible suspension.

4^th time ….. Immediate phone call to parent.  Principal’s citation.

Parent to meet with teacher and principal.  Student to

participate in Anger Management group to be held on campus.

Student to be referred to Student Success Team (SST) and for

counseling, with possible referral for further study.  Parent(s) to

be referred to parent training course.  Possible suspension.

5^th + time ….. Principal’s citation.  Possible suspension.  Consideration

for opportunity transfer to another elementary school.

LEVEL 3

Behavior*

• Bringing weapon to school
• Illegal drug possession

Consequences

Automatic expulsion.  Notification of law enforcement authorities.
