Parent Student Survery

We need your help! Cowan administration and staff is constantly seeking ways to improve our practice, school culture and communication. This week we are sending home the annual School Experience Survey. The School Experience Survey provides valuable information to stakeholders about LAUSD schools each year.We are asking you to let us know what you think. Take this survey by November 17 to give us your feedback about you and your child’s experience with Cowan Avenue School and Gifted Magnet. Report Cards!

It's already November and that means our first grading period is coming to a close and report cards are heading home this Friday, November 3rd.
The LAUSD elementary progress report has been revised to align to the California Content Standards that were implemented statewide. As a result the format of report cards has changed. Attached you will find a parent guide that will help you understand your child's report card.

Make Up Picture Day

Make up picture day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8th. If you are unhappy with your pictures from picture day, you may retake them but remember to bring back your originals to give back to the photographer.
